When do industrial solid tires need to be replaced?

Industrial solid tires require replacement under the following conditions:

Wear Degree
Tread Depth:

When the tread depth on the tire surface is less than a certain value (the specific value may vary depending on the standard and application of the tire, but it is generally considered that replacement is necessary when the tread groove depth is less than 2mm), the tire's grip and water drainage performance will significantly decrease, increasing the risk of vehicle accidents.

For certain equipment such as forklifts, tires also need to be replaced when the wear depth of the tire sidewall tread is less than a certain value (e.g., 1mm).

Overall Wear:

When the tire is severely worn overall, with the tread pattern almost completely worn down, it can no longer provide sufficient grip and should be replaced immediately.

Damage Condition
Cracks and Damage:

When cracks or damage appear on the tire surface, especially when the depth of the cracks or damage exceeds a certain value (e.g., 2mm), the tire should be replaced as soon as possible to prevent the cracks from expanding and causing sudden tire failure.

Tires punctured or cut by sharp objects that cannot be repaired or pose a safety hazard after repair also need to be replaced with new tires.

Tire Deformation:

If a tire deforms during use, such as twisting or bulging, it may be due to damage to internal materials or structural failure. In this case, the tire is no longer usable and needs to be replaced.

Service Life
Normal Service Life:

Generally, the service life of industrial solid tires is 3-5 years. However, this time may vary depending on the usage environment, frequency of use, and maintenance. If tires are used for too long, they may age and lose elasticity, thus requiring timely replacement.

Premature Replacement:

In harsh environments (such as high temperature, high humidity, corrosive environments, etc.), tire aging will accelerate, potentially requiring earlier replacement.

If a tire has suffered severe impact or damage during use, it may also require earlier replacement.

Other Situations
Performance Degradation:

If a tire exhibits performance degradation during use (such as increased rolling resistance, decreased driving stability, etc.), it may be due to aging of internal materials or structural failure. In this case, replacement with a new tire should be considered.
